El Calafate Regional Museum, which is located in the former Town Hall building, displays an important collection of the regional flora and fauna, as well as an interesting exhibition of archaeological, geological and palaeontological materials.

There is also an intersting display of photographs that let the visitor know some details about the history of this interesting village.
The museum opens at 9 a.m. and it offers special facilities for disabled visitors. Besides, all the displayed information has been translated into braille.
